Career Maturity in Relation to Vocational Aspiration and Self-Concept among Senior Secondary School Adolescents

Students' careers are important in their lives because they will have to make decisions about later life. This study aims examine the key predictors of Career Maturity between Vocational Aspiration and Self-Concept among senior secondary school adolescents. Three measures employed quantitative design, including a self-concept questionnaire developed normed by Saraswat (2011), Occupational Scale J.S. Grewal Inventory Nirmala Gupta (2013). These scales disseminated students from four government private schools Kannauj district. Using simple random sampling method, total 376 adolescents were involved study. The findings show that enrolled both institutions, vocational aspiration became significant factor predicting career maturity. was found correlation with while no relationship for sample sub samples. Female better than males opposite trend seen Aspiration. Although, females observed be similar. Moreover, capability or choose proper choices, awareness required choosing according skills, interests, values personality traits. However, male having more aspirations vocation.
